Hello World!

I have a tradition of creating a "Hello World" post whenever I start a blog. It started when I interned at the literary journal Blackbird and has continued ever since. I use this post to introduce myself, help set my blog expectations and goals, and eliminate the dreaded blank (metaphorical) first page.

So, let's begin.

The Boring Bits that would be on the CV

My name is Morgan, and I'm a professional writer and narrative designer in the gaming industry. I get paid to write as many terrible puns as pun-ssible. I am pun-ashamed—I'll let you figure out if that means I'm actually unashamed or not. Online, I currently go by Eirror404, which is a reference to my Dungeons and Dragons character, Eir the Airheaded Air Genasi, and the dreaded error404 message. I have way too many creative hobbies, and I needed a way to organize them on a business card...so here we are.

2024 Blog Things...and Stuff.

Let's keep this bit short and simple--more of a note to myself than anything else. What do I want to put on this blog? What do I want to use it for?

• Keeping track of current projects and sharing my process

• Talking about upcoming events or places where my work will be featured

• Creating tutorials for some projects

• Bragging about other creative people that I know and want to share

• Reading list and reviews

• Idk sharing things that are related to things on this blog? Very specific, very concise

And there we have it. The first "page" has been defeated.

Now, I can move on to the good stuff.
